As a personal project I wanted to merge to of my interests, music and moving image. I decided to create what I called a Visual Mixtape, a collection of experimental films relating to the songs I had chosen. In a way they are alternative music videos. I used this project to experiment with film and mediums I had not used before, learning as I went along. The video below is one of my more personal films. Vagabond by Wolfmother is one of my favourite songs and I wanted to create something that would show what the song meant to me. I found my old home-videos and started to look through them. I recorded scenes I found interesting, later editing them into a cohesive story that worked with the music. I tried to chose imagery that responded well with the lyrics, allowing people to interpret it in a different way.
